We support parents to create stress-free and enjoyable family mealtimes.
We support kids to feel confident in exploring new foods.
Lauren Pike is an Occupational Therapist based in Mount Hawthorn, Western Australia.
Lauren has over 12 years experience working with children and parents to help kids to participate fully in daily living and activities.
A Mum of two herself, Lauren is passionate about helping parents and children to enjoy food and mealtimes, and teaching the skills needed for successful feeding.

Dr Kyla Smith is a Paediatric Dietitian based in Perth, Western Australia.
Kyla has over 15 years experience working with children and parents who are finding mealtimes challenging.
Kyla is passionate about helping parents and children to experience positive mealtimes, without stress and worry.
Kyla has a PhD in childhood obesity. She has delivered numerous programs for parents in Perth wanting to improve their child's health and happiness. She has also developed interventions in childhood weight management.
Kyla is the founder and director of Mealtime Building Blocks but is not currently taking new clients.

The Mealtime Building Blocks Team will always consider an individualised approach and tailor their plan based on your child's specific needs and strengths. We are committed to helping children feel good about food and eating.
The approach to feeding difficulties will likely combine a number of intervention styles, including elements of the Sequential Oral Sensory- SOS approach to feeding (details here), the Ellyn Satter approach to feeding (details here), and the Melanie Potock approach to feeding (details here).
The team are linked with a number of paediatric speech pathologists, paediatricians, physiotherapists and psychologists. This means we can refer you to other services in Perth if required, or work with other health professionals to help you and and your family.
